PLANNING Vaccinations The San Francisco Immunization and Travel Clinic was an excellent resource for us in preparation for this trip. It was slightly disconcerting because the travel nurse said (more than once) that some of the diseases we would be exposed to could cause death within 24 hours. We decided to overlook that fear and got as many immunizations as we could pay for. We are considering getting immunized for Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies once we hit Thailand and the price goes way down. We'll see how we're feeling.
