ABOUT The World Trip Taking a trip around the world is something almost everyone wants to do. But mortgages, car payments, spouses, children, pets and just plain fear often keep people from realizing the dream of breaking free and roaming the planet for a while. It does not exist in nature." - Helen Keller In the spirit of this belief, Sarah and I have decided that we need to leave our perfectly lovely lives here in San Francisco and embark on an exciting adventure around the world. We'll be gone for about a year and will be visiting approximately 20 countries along the way. We've sold many of our material possessions and put the rest in storage. We've found surrogate parents for our beloved cats and quit our jobs. We've sorted through scads of information about various countries, activities, tickets, insurance, gear, hostels, etc and have made our plans. This trip will
be a journey of cultural enlightenment, amazing climbing locales,
new friends and self-discovery. Sarah and I are so glad to be going
on this trip together and are thankful that we've found the courage
to leave the safety of our present lives to see what else is out
there.
